2 weeks to go... we are so excited now, its so close! We are in final arrangement phase and all is good (touch wood).

Just a few details for you..

We have arranged for shuttle bus transport, following the wedding as the venue is a little tricky and taxis in Sydey are notorious for doing a 'no show'. From 11.20, the shuttle service will go between the venue and Manly esplanade and wharf and the last shuttle will drive in to the CBD where it will be easier to pick up a cab. The last Manly ferry leaves Manly at 12.50am and this is the link to the timetable if required:

We have organised a recovery gathering on Saturday 31st March at the Manly Wharf Hotel- Harbour Room. Drinks & canapes will be served from 12.30. Its a lovely location and right next to the ferry dock.

Where to stay...

The most important thing for those travelling to Sydney for the wedding... book a place to stay! Our wedding date coincides with Easter school holidays I'm afraid so you will all need to get your skates on otherwise it's Manly Backpackers for all of you!

Our wedding venue and where we will be staying is close to the following areas (most are on the beach);

Manly
Freshwater
Mosman
Balmoral
Queenscliff
Chinamans Beach
Balgowlah
Chowder Bay

We have spoken to a couple of hotels in Manly, both of whom have doubles or family style rooms... we have stayed at both the Sebel and the Novotel and both are in excellent locations right on the Manly beachfront.

You could even stay on the Barracks in Mosman (which is where our wedding venue is) if you really just want to stumble home...

If you wanted to book these 2-3 bed cottages, quote the reference GB/11

Save The Date

We have 10 years under the belt, 2 beautiful children, one brown dog, one moody cat, several fish (but if you talk to Tilly they are all one & the same!!), bought & sold houses, immigration status in 2 countries and now... we have finally stuck a stick in the sand for the wedding. Who said 'it will never happen'!!

We are very happy to announce that on the 30th March 2012 we will become Mr & Mrs Nathan Birch.

You should have all received your Save The Date cards if you're reading this blog. Big tick on the to-do list...

Whether you live in gorgeous Sydney or are making the huge (and much appreciated) journey over here, we want this blog to give you all the info you're going to need to help us celebrate.
